FLORIDA — The best friend of hiker Brittany Clark, who was mauled to death by a 13-foot alligator, has shared heartbreaking details of her final moments.

Brittany was killed while swimming with her boyfriend in the Econlockhatchee River at Little Big Econ State Forest. Her friend Jayden Hernandez said they joked about “air bubbles” in the water right before the attack.

“I won’t EVER forget every detail of this scene,” Hernandez said.

The group had gone to one of Brittany’s favorite spots for the trip. The sudden and tragic attack has left her loved ones devastated.
