Australian Man Arrested in Thailand After Teenager Found Dead in Suitcase

Thai authorities have arrested an Australian man following the discovery of a 17-year-old girl’s body inside a suitcase in Pattaya, an incident that has prompted an ongoing criminal investigation.

Police identified the suspect as Simon Carman, who was taken into custody at Suvarnabhumi International Airport in Bangkok while allegedly attempting to leave the country. Officials said the arrest took place shortly after the discovery of the victim’s body.

According to investigators, the victim, Tunchanok Donhomla, was last seen after meeting the suspect in the early hours of the morning on Pattaya’s Beach Road. Police allege the pair later went to a hotel in the area.

Authorities said CCTV footage is being reviewed as part of the investigation, including images showing movements between the hotel and surrounding locations. A suitcase was later discovered near railway tracks, and forensic examination confirmed the identity of the deceased.
